Ready to take on the next level? Try out for the CFL’s Ottawa Redblacks at an open try out near you!

The CFL was officially founded in January of 1958, which makes the league 62 years old. Through the years the league has seen thousands of players come and go, but only a few have made their marks in the record books.

Many wonder how these football players get their starts in the CFL, and one popular way is a try out. Each CFL team has their own series of open tryouts one-two months ahead of the first regular season game. For the CFL’s Ottawa Redblacks, they have 6 open tryouts set up for both April and May. In these tryouts, any football player over 18 years of age has their opportunity to show the CFL scouts what they are made of and what they are capable of on the field.
