Just prior to opening the Ottawa Redblacks 2021 CFL training camp on Sunday the organization has announced that they have defensive linemen Shaneil Jenkins and Frank Beltre, offensive linemen Alex Fontana and Daniel Omara, linebacker Christophe Mulumba, defensive backs Shamarko Thomas, Jonathan Alston and Tony Anderson and receiver Ervin Phillips on the suspended list. These players will remain on the Ottawa Redblacks roster and some will likely play this season while some may not, like Alex Fontana who has decided to take the year off alongside Shamarko Thomas.
The Ottawa Redblacks also released quarterback Chase Litton. Litton, a Marshall product was set to come in and fight for the 3rd string spot at quarterback with Taryn Christion and Caleb Evans.
