Ottawa Redblacks find an agreement with former NFL quarterback Steve Walsh to become the next quarterbacks coach in Ottawa

Last season, the Redblacks juggled between both Beau Walker and Joe Paopao for the quarterback coach position last season, although today’s move made by Ottawa hopes to make it clear who will start and finish the season at the position. Today the team announced that former NFL quarterback and most recently the Saskatchewan Rough Riders quarterback coach would be in town to play the role as a QB coach.

This move comes just days following the signing of Nick Arbuckle, and with Walsh as the team’s newest quarterbacks coach, Marcel Desjardins has hopes that Arbuckle and Walsh put together a solid 2020 campaign.

Ahead of his arrival in Ottawa, as mentioned Walsh played 11 seasons in the NFL splitting time between the Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears, Indianapolis Colts, St Louis Rams and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In his NFL career, he was able to complete over 700 passes for 7,875 yards and 40 touchdowns. In his football playing career, him being a National Champion and Heisman trophy finalist at the University of Miami are highlighted when mentioned.
