After an extra long 2020-2021 CFL off-season in which the Ottawa Redblacks made more moves and transactions than they can count the front office still hasn’t stopped working. During week two of 2021 CFL training camp, following the releases of 9 players on Monday and two receivers in Jaquan Blair and Terry Wright the team has signed offensive lineman Taylor Tappin. Tappin is a Windsor, California native and played his collegiate career at Sacramento State University just prior to playing in the Spring League with the Aviators.
The offensive lineman is 25 years old and with the losses of Alex Mateas, Alex Fontana, Jason Lauzon-Seguin and Evan Johnson along that offensive line this off-season he will have a perfect opportunity to battle for a spot with projected starters Na’ty Rodgers, Jamar McGloster and Brandon Hitner.
